A safe, welcoming space to relax, reconnect, release and come back to yourself — Reiki, sound ceremonies, massage and yin yoga with Claire Clayton.
Reiki is a Japanese relaxation practice founded by Mikao Usui in the early 1900s. The word means universal life energy — the practitioner channels that energy with a light, still touch while you simply lie back and rest.
There's nothing to do, nothing to get right, and nothing to take off — you stay fully clothed throughout. Most people describe a session as deeply calming: warmth, tingling, a pleasant heaviness, or simply the deepest switch-off they've had in months.
Claire works within the traditional Usui lineage, certified through Second Degree (Okuden) and Master level (Shinpiden), and weaves in sound, crystals and ceremony where it feels right for you.
We start with a relaxed chat about how you're doing and what's brought you along.
You lie fully clothed on the treatment couch, wrapped up warm and comfortable in The Zen Den.
Reiki, sound, massage or ceremony — always gentle, always at your pace.
Time to come round gently, ground, and share how it felt — never rushed out the door.
Claire is the heart of Let Go and Grow. Certified through the traditional Usui system to Master level, she holds her sessions in The Zen Den — her beautiful, candle-lit healing space in Tameside — and, when the weather's kind, out in the hills above the town, where the views stretch all the way across Manchester.
Her approach is warm, unhurried and completely down to earth: no jargon, no pressure — just genuinely restful time that's entirely about you.
As a Usui Reiki Master, Claire teaches the full Reiki pathway — small, personal courses held at The Zen Den, with attunements, course manual and plenty of hands-on practice.
Your first step — learn to treat yourself, family and friends.
The practitioner level — symbols, distance healing and treating others.
The final step — master energies, attunements, and teaching others.
